She moved to the United Stated when she was five years old. She grew up in New York, Massachusetts and Florida. Senait was waitressing while going to school at Florida State University. Senait decided it was time to move on. She packed her bags and drove out to California.
Her first big break came when she played Ron Johnson's sister on A Different World. The director, Debbie Allen, was really impressed and brought Senait in on a few more projects. She also made appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Mad About You.
Senait received a call from General Hospital a few years later. They asked her to come in and read threes scripts for three different shows! She landed the role of Keesha Ward and her first long-term contract. She played Keesha Ward from 1994-1998.
In 2002 Senait starred in her first movie, Honeybee. She played a young woman named Brianna Dukes, who drops out of college to pursue a career as a professional boxer. The film received rave reviews at the Hollywood Black Film Festival.
